2026 FS Permit Fee Invoices were delayed by government shutdown. Consequently, Permit Fee Payments are due February 1.

Recent containment of the Line Fire has progressed to the point where the Forest Service has created an Exemption Permit to allow limited access to Recreational Residence cabins for purposes of "critical maintenance, repair, security, and winterizing activities..."
State Route 18 (Big Bear Blvd.) will be closed in both directions from Big Bear Dam to Modoc Drive (see map) for a “grind and pave” project, weekdays beginning Monday, October 14 to Friday, October 25, 2024, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
